Home › How NaweChat works
NaweChat is a free, WhatsApp-style messenger made for students. It takes about a minute to start, and it runs in any phone or computer browser, so there is nothing to install.
Tap Join free, choose a username and password, and type your school and class. Your school is added to the schools list automatically, so classmates can find you.
Search for students by name, or filter by school to meet students from other schools. Open a profile and send a message to start a private chat. Other students never see your email address or phone number.
Private chats work like the messaging apps you use every day: replies, reactions, read receipts, photos, documents and voice notes. Send revision notes to a friend, or ask a question and get answers from students who studied the same topic.
Rooms are group chats built around school life: a room for your own school, the All Schools Hub, and topic rooms for study help, exams, clubs and careers. Read more on the study rooms page.
Call a friend by voice or video to revise together. Post a status with a photo or short video that disappears after 24 hours. Create a poll to let your class vote on a study time, a trip or a debate topic.
You can report a message or block a student in one tap, and admins review every report. Learn more on the safety page and read the community rules.
